has been in business since 2005 and has been serving the fumigation industry for over 14 years.
We are a locally owned and operated company, situated in the central coast region of Santa Maria, CA.
We specialize in constructing fumigation tarps and offer a variety of fumigation accessories.
Recently we began constructing a much smaller product, to address a huge global issue.
As everyone knows, our Nation’s landfills are overflowing with disposable plastic grocery bags.
We at Hernandez Sewing decided it was time to get involved and do something about it.
So we are introducing a new line of virtually indestructible bags…

ChicSaks began out of a need for a creative, feminine outlet.

About 10 years ago, my husband Ed and I bought Hernandez Sewing Inc. (a heavy fabric construction company) and Mission City Fumigation of Santa Maria. As you can imagine, being new business owners, as well as the parents of 4 active daughters, took up most of our time.
Fumigation and heavy fabric construction are both very rewarding ventures, but I craved a chance to express myself in these male dominated fields and I couldn't talk anyone into pink tarps...

I began working with a team of very talented seamstresses to create what have become the various ChicSaks you see on this site. We are now putting our purses in boutiques up and down the Central Coast of California, but we want you to have the opportunity to own one too, whether you live in Florida, Alaska or beyond.
